Everything you need to know about studying in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands is a friendly country tailored to suit international education. It can be a great experience, as the country is known for its high-quality education system, multicultural environment, and beautiful landscapes. You don’t even need to speak Dutch because many of the degrees are in English, and that is a big advantage.
The
educational style is based on self-study, meaning you have very few
classes each week and a lot of free time to organize yourself. But this style
of learning still requires many hours of individual study. The Netherlands is a
relatively small country with great train connections between cities, which
makes it easy to get around quickly. It has a wonderful variety of shops that
sell products from many different cultures, so you can cook or buy your
national dishes. The cost of living in the Netherlands is relatively high,
especially in major cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Utrecht.
However,
international students can work part-time to help cover their expenses. The
cost of tuition varies depending on the program and institution, but it is
generally lower than in the United States and the United Kingdom. There are a
number of scholarships and funding options available to international students
who want to study in the Netherlands. Some scholarships are offered by the
Dutch government, while others are offered by individual universities or
external organizations.
One
more spec- you need to learn how to ride bicycles because you'd enjoy doing
that in this country. But don't worry, you won't get into an accident. The
cities are well organized - both drivers and pedestrians are aware of the
presence of bikes and trams, making it very easy for students to ride to school
every day. If you respect the rules of the road, the risk of having an accident
is very low.
Lastly, international students who have completed studies or research projects in the Netherlands are eligible for a one-year post-graduation permit. This permit is valid for one year and allows you to find a job in the Netherlands or start your own business. The Netherlands is an excellent destination for international education not just because of the high quality of the universities, but also because of the safety, the quality of life and the opportunities the country has to offer.
